A light has dawned in my head lately, and I feel I need to discuss this, especially with First time Moms, the topic of “pain”. Most first time moms, do not know what to expect in labour and birth and often ask me, what to look for, how they will know, how long will it take, what comes first, and you know what? that is exactly true, you do not know what to expect, and to describe to someone is an almost impossible thing to do, because it is not describable. Anything, you may have imagined, well it’s not it. Pain in labour is real, and you know what, welcome it! it is how you will meet your baby and how your mama bear protection instinct will appear. Embrace it, feel it, love it, breathe with it, ride with it, sway with it, walk with it, shower with it, bath with it, do everything with it. The intensity will build, and baby will be there to meet you. That is the whole idea behind labour, it is to meet your baby. Own it,
